Coming to Fastkeys from StrokeIt and StrokesPlus, I was hoping that Fastkeys can replace their functionality where gestures are concerned. However, I am encountering some problems when using Fastkeys in a web browser (tried Firefox and Chrome):
1. The very first gesture drawn in a browser (can be any gesture) does not execute (no mouse trail and execution). Only subsequent gestures are effective (trails appear and execution).
For example, using default settings, I want to go back to the previous web page, I would hold down Ctrl (modifier) and then click and drag mouse to the left. The first time, there is no mouse trail and nothing happens. I need to release the Ctrl key, press and hold it again and then repeat the mouse click and drag a second time before I see the mouse trail and the browser navigates back to the previous page. Thereafter, all gestures work as expected.
2. When gestures do work, there appears to be some lag after moving the mouse to draw the gesture and before the mouse trail appears. This is somewhat jarring.
3. Is there any way to not have to use a modifier key like when in StrokeIt / StrokesPlus? The real value of gestures is that they can be entirely executed by the mouse alone. If I need my other hand to hold down a modifier key when drawing a gesture, it defeats the convenience factor. I have tried deselecting all modifier keys in the options but that does not work.
Gestures Problems and Questions
Difficult so say, first try to reset the Preferences/Gestures to defaults.
There is no need to use a modifier, simply change Gestures shortcut to RButton.

@Marko
Please advise.
I am using default Preferences for Gestures. However, to make sure again, I reset Preferences/Gestures to default. Doesn't make a difference. The buggy behaviour I listed in 1. and 2. still persists.
Again, this does not work. After resetting Preferences/Gestures and changing shortcut to RButton, as soon as I click on the Right Mouse Button, the context menu of the browser pops up. This is unlike StrokeIt/StrokesPlus where you still get the mouse trail overlay without modifier key.There is no need to use a modifier, simply change Gestures shortcut to RButton.
Please advise.
RButton should work, you need to press and hold the right mouse button and make a gesture.
Also, gestures only work when the FastKeys window is closed.
