Please add support for automatic FastKeys reload/restart at an optional time interval.
See also https://fastkeysautomation.com/forum/vi ... 3&start=10

It would probably be a good idea to enable Reload as admin user

Thanks. We will try to implement this. Does saving the settings (Ctrl+S or closing the settings window) resolves the issues too? Or a full software reload is required? Could you please test?

In general it is recommended to find the real cause of the issue - typically another application which disables FastKeys keyboard hook.

My problems with the stability of FastKeys functionality are probably due to the composition of the programs I normally use, or how I use them.
Common conditions are as follows:
Windows 10 running continuously (I reboot adhoc after a few days), several instances of teminal emulators (Putty, Xshell, Mintty), and several SSH instances, Chrome, Notepad++, communication tools (Slack, Skype), ESET Endpoint Protection. I have this running permanently. Adhoc then MS Word/Excel, some small utilities.
I admit that it's a lot, on the other hand these are programs that I need for my work (I can't stop using them), there are no problems with their operation => it's impossible to complain about them.

I understand that the functionality of FastKeys is subject to some conditions that may change over time and FastKeys will stop working.

However, before I started using FastKeys, I used another software for years, which does similar things to FastKeys and probably works on a similar principle to FastKeys, but with more stability of functionality than FastKeys. I also had to restart it occasionally, but that was only after a few days of operation. With FastKeys I am forced to do a reboot sometimes after only one hour of operation. The question is whether this is a FastKeys problem or a general AutoHotKey operation problem?

As for the Save or Restart question, it seems that a Save might be sufficient. I now have a windows task scheduled to restart FastKeys once an hour. If I need to do it interactively, I use "Relead" from the FastKeys context menu.

ESET is known for blocking all text expander programs - try disabling “Keyboard protection” and “Secure browser” settings.

Please confirm that saving does the job instead of reloading.

OK, I'll try to follow it more closely...
First message
as I wrote, the PC with FastKeys is running more or less continuously, but it is only actively used mostly on weekdays
I have Text Expander, Start Menu and Shortcuts active
after the weekend break, Text Expander is not working, but Shortcuts is working
the fix of running File->Save helped

I'll keep an eye on it

One more question
I control the PC directly but also via Remote Desktop
can this not affect the functionality of FastKeys? Shouldn't I preemptively reload FastKeys after changing access?

And note not only about Eset
Coincidentally I have mometally done disable "Keyboard protection" and "Secure browser". I can try to deactivate Eset totally for a certain period of time (I am also protected not only by my personal antivirus) and this would eliminate Eset as the source of the problem. But this is not a permanent solution, I buy antivirus to protect me, not to poke holes in it.

So far I have caught about 10 cases where the Text expander module or Shortcuts module stopped working.
Only in two cases both modules stopped working. CTRL_S was enough to fix it. Only in one case I had to do a Reload
As long as I didn't do it, the expansion worked, but everything was listing the upper case.

Thanks for reporting it. Does it work with ESET disabled?

I would say that disabled/enabled ESET does not play a role in my case, FastKeys stops working after some time in both cases.
Just now Text Expadner started to print all texts in capital letters - only Reload helps.

All Caps issue is related to some conflicting software or process running on the computer.

Do you use other security or keyboard automation software? Some users have reported that disabling Quick Accent software from Microsoft Power Toys solved their problem. Do you perhaps have this software running?

Also, try disabling the "Adjust to typed case" option in Preferences/Text Expander. Any difference?

Thanks for the recommendation, I'm using PowerToys - I've turned off Quick Accent.
I haven't activated "Adjust to typed case".
