F11-"Full Screen" mode

Things I used to understand quickly, are becoming harder. I read some forum entries and am completely baffled. I brought this F11-"Full Screen" topic up 2 years ago and have yet to understand Marko's well intended suggestions on how to fix it:

As simply and concisely as I can, here's the problem:

The F11 key is used to Enter and exit fullscreen mode in all modern Internet browsers. It works 100% of the time for me...except when I have installed FastKeys automation. The F11 function itself disappears...is overwritten...bypassed if FastKeys is installed. Uninstall and the function returns.

That's it.

I re-introduce this issue as a new topic for discussion.

As explained in the original post
- Open FastKeys
- Click Preferences (gear) icon and go to Preferences/Macro Recorder
- Change the F11 shortcut to something else - click the shortcut input field and press a new shortcut on the keyboard or press Delete to remove it.
- Select OK to save.

Would you please try to actually do what you suggest?
Goal: To make the "Full Screen= F11" command work through some other key or key combination.

F11 shortcut in FastKeys is used to play a recorded macro. You can change it in Preferences as explained. Which part is not clear?

IF, when FASTKEYS is installed on my computer, the normal WINDOWS command/function/action of the F11 key (to expand the screen to full window size) is
re-written/taken over/re-configured/replaced by the command/function/action to PLAY MACRO...the original WINDOWS F11 purpose is GONE.

I am suggesting that the ability to "expand the screen to full size" disappears/becomes moot/is no longer possible when FASTKEYS is installed because the FK program code voids the original WINDOWS code.

IF FASTKEYS re-purposes the original WINDOWS purpose of the F11 key...it has to put it back/re-assign/move the ability somewhere else. If the program code writers realized they were eliminating the 'expand to full screen' function when they overwrote the F11 keystroke, they would have put the function back in the Library. If it is there, it completely alludes me.

I have requested that you try your own FASTKEYS solution to perform the Original WINDOWS function of the F11 key. I will endure any humiliation I must if anyone can actually do it with the current version of FASTKEYS installed on their PC.*

Since my original post, I have tried your suggestion, to the best of my understanding, a dozen or more times.
You still haven't verified that YOU can make it work...which is not a challenge as much as it is an invitation to you to experience what I have...
OR
IF it is as simple as you suggest, maybe giving me a few EXACT INSTRUCTIONS? You may be so familiar with this program to have forgotten how anything less than using the SAME words that appear in the UI can mislead the ignorant... like me!

I just try to help - I gave you exact steps few posts back. I tried it and after removing the shortcut in FastKeys, F11 (full screen) again works in a browser.

Thank-you for sticking with me despite a hundred reasons not to. My best explanation of my obstinance is that I misunderstood how the "Preferences/Macro Recorder" UI worked. It is much simpler and more sensible than my brain allowed it to be. I was continually hung up by the reference to "Entry Field".
I was looking for a button or some other dialog box to direct me or confirm I had just done what I was supposed to.

I wish you nothing but pleasant and appreciative customers for the rest of your days...and hope to stay out of your way from now on.
