I've been using Activewords (I'd bought Fastkeys some years ago, but had issues getting it to work reliably; but the new version seems to have ironed out those problems.)
Is there any way of importing my existing text expansions in Activewords to Fastkeys?

We currently don't have a direct routine for that. However if you could export settings to a delimited text or Excel file then you could import it by using File/Import.

Okay...can you give me a brief, very rough idea on how to go about doing that?
Thanks in advance

Does the software offer an export function to text file or Excel?

I'm afraid not -- they export to a proprietary file.
However, they do provide a printout of the data, so I could enter them in manually. Could you explain how to arrange it in a text file?

FastKeys can import comma, semicolon or tab delimited text files or Excel files.
