Not activating in browser windows

When trying to trigger automatic text replacement (e.g. a string that is to be replaced by a greeting) in Chrome or Firefox, more often than not FastKeys is not being activated.

Only when I first open FastKeys' preferences, click OK and then go to my browser window, FastKeys comes in to action.
How can this be resolved? I use 'type=Send' and the option 'trigger immediately'.

Do you use a rtf or non-formatted text? On which webpage do you experience this?

I use plaintext. I have this e.g. on gmail.com in a compose window.

Could it be that FastKeys is disabled by some conflicting application?
Could you try to introduce a small Key delay in Preferences/Text Expander/Advanced? Any difference?

A key delay does not help. FastKeys doesn't come into action in Chrome and Firefox. It works in e.g. Outlook but not in text areas (also not on this forum).

I tested on few computers and it works well. I created a new item with Trigger Immediately option, saved and then run FastKeys again - it triggers on this forum the first time.

Could you check your Preferences/Text Expander settings (Only active in/Not active in)? You may resetting the Preferences to defaults.

You can also send us your settings.fdb and settings.ini files and we will see if this is caused by some of the settings.
