Due to an autocorrection (fo -> of) — which was erroneous in my case, because I wanted to write for — I found the cause in the file Auto Correct English.fkp:

Code: Select all

::fo::of
:C:fo::of
:C:od::of
The line ::fo::of was deleted without further ado, but I noticed the following lines:

Code: Select all

:C:fo::of
:C:od::of
What exactly does the "C" do in :C:?

By the way: it would also be nice to know if the autocorrection fo -> of could only be performed, if a space is following?

The C is for case sensitive string recognition.

Select “More options” and check your settings for the Auto Correct file - trigger immediately option should be disabled by default so the correction will only happen after typing the ending character (space, enter, comma etc.).
