Hello,

I am not a tech person but work in medicine and recently found FastKeys while searching for a program to simulate the awesome "dotphrase" ability of a popular EMR platform.

Could someone help me learn how to create the following?

I'd like to create a template for an operative report where I type, for example, ".opreport" and have it contain three kinds of variables: 1. selectable variables like a drop down list, 2. spots to fill in blanks with text that I can highlight with the tab key, and 3. something that autofills the date.

I could also use some help learning how to create the "list" variables. The tutorial is great but I still don't know how make these lists...

Here is an example. I would type .opreport and see

'Operation: [LATERALITY] Ureteroscopy
Surgeon: McDreamy
Patient Name: [BLANK SPOT I CAN SELECT TO TYPE THIS IN]
Diagnosis: [LATERALITY] Kidney stone
Date: [AUTOMATICALLY PUT IN THE DATE]'

Thank you for your time and help.

Hi and welcome to the forum. FastKeys is perfect for medical doctors, prescriptions etc.

This should be pretty easy to do. When setting your phrase click More button and try the following macros:
- Manual Text Input
- Input Selection Form
- Date and Time

Please contact our support mail if you will require further help.
