I found my own answer. Under "Tools/Preferences/Auto Complete/Options" I de-selected "Correct case of suggested word." Problem solved.

Alternative date format
In the preloaded "Date and Time Options" I see "/%A_ShortDate%" which produces MM/DD/YYYY.
For filing purposes, I use the YYYY-MM-DD format (reverse order with dashes that are accepted in file names). How could I make this happen in FastKeys?
